Please join interested community members, business, faith, government, legal, healthcare and thought leaders to learn about a very successful program that assists in Advance Care Planning.
Respecting Choices is an evidenced based program, developed by Gundersen Health System and implemented originally in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where over 95% of community members now have completed advance care directives. In the process, people have become more comfortable talking about end of life issues well in advance of the need to make choices about care.
Bernard “Bud” Hammes, Ph.D., Director of Medical Humanities and Respecting Choices at Gunderson Health System (bio attached) will present an overview of this program. Your help is needed to make this happen in our community.
